Wedding in Cobourg – my first ever!

In this gallery are two things:

1) the first wedding I ever took photographs of at all

2) the first wedding I was actually hired to take photographs of

Which is which is pretty obvious, I think – for the first wedding I ever photographed (and the day I planted the seed in my head that I may actually someday want to BE a wedding photographer) I was attending a friend’s wedding and sitting way at the back of the ceremony and snapping away with my telephoto lens, probably really pissing off the official photographer, but I knew nothing about wedding etiquette back then! Nothing at all. The photos turned out pretty nicely considering I’d never done it before, so I posted them and begged for a wedding job. Soon after, a friend who happens to plan weddings contacted me and wanted to know if I’d be interested in shooting a low-budget wedding…HELL YES! Thank you, Heather and Robin, for taking a chance on me, and I am so happy you loved your wedding photos. I will be forever grateful to you for giving me the opportunity to test my abilities – I am where I am today in part because of you… and I’m so thrilled to see you showering love upon one another’s facebook walls almost every day now well over a year later!!! lol.
